National Specification Manager

The Role Includes

  • Responsibility for all specification sales activities of all the company's product ranges on a National Basis.
  • Providing specification and technical support to the company’s client base.
  • Establish new contacts via the company’s lead generation system and marketing activities as well as identifying and generating own new business opportunities within the specification sector.
  • Working closely with the Area Sales Managers to manage the process from Specification through to Tender stages and continue to liaise with design consideration at all stages of the project providing a prompt and professional response at all times.
  • Liaising with and providing support to the company’s external and internal sales teams.
  • Define and implement a strategy regarding national management, in agreement with the Sales & Marketing Director.
  • Provide and present basic product training and CPD Seminars as per customer requirements.
  • Liaising with and providing accurate information where required.
  • Managing and Supporting the area External Specification Managers and Internal Specification Support Teams in coordination and driving of GEZE UK Specification activities for all product sectors.
  • Lead the teams nationally to achieve the required company targets both specification targets and invoiced sales.
  • Implement and manage a Specification activity related business plan to target new customers and markets, in line with the current market requirements.
  • Offer product based advice, training and support for all relevant customers and specification sales personnel nationally.
  • Manage and monitor GEZE UK CRM system – this will include setting targets and analysing performance.
  • Active involvement with agreed National Specifiers and major projects.
  • Regular interaction and reporting platforms with Sales & Marketing Director and GEZE UK Senior Management team.

Your Profile 

  • Ideally based in the sales region facilitating ease of access to the relevant GEZE UK sales regions.
  • The candidate must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and sales targets.
  • A working technical knowledge of technical products would be a major advantage.
  • A proven track record in a similar specification sales role demonstrating new business development skills.
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry ideally with a technical engineering bias.
  • Excellent sales negotiation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supporting growth in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous external sales experience
