job description:
The job holder works as a Network Engineer (m/f/d) (part-time is also possible) and takes on the following tasks:
- Technical support for projects from the build phase to deployment
- Network configuration (routing, switching, wireless)
- Network and IP management (IPAM, monitoring tools, CMDB)
- Analysis of the causes of infrastructure and network problems and their resolution in a
- time-critical environment
- Writing technical documentation for new and existing
- network designs, implementations, processes and tools

education / studies:
- Electrical engineering at least a bachelor's degree or
- Computer science at least a bachelor's degree or
- Communications technology
professional experience:
- Knowledge of IT networks, such as routing and switching or firewall knowledge
further qualifikations:
- Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions such as Cisco ACI and Cisco SDA
- Experience in operating LAN and WLAN infrastructures with Cisco technologies
- Programming and scripting experience is an advantage (examples: Python, YAML, JSON)
- Knowledge of network security (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Stormshield and Cisco ASA firewalls)
- Understanding of IT services (Active Directory, SCCM, IAM) and virtualization technologies (vmWare and Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Good understanding of monitoring and logging tools and the underlying principle
language skills:
- English at least business fluent
- Experience in German, French and/or Spanish is an advantage
