job description:
The jobholder (d/f/m) will work as Innovation & Development Engineer in the R&T team (Research and Technology) and will be responsible for the development and maturation of New Composite Manufacturing Technologies covering the complete manufacturing process (from laying to finishing) up to industrial maturity demonstration at full scale and the following dissemination of these technologies.
- Supporting local composite R&T team (trials follow up at shopfloor)
- Planning, steering and reporting Composites Industrial technology R&T activities within the ME (Manufacturing Engineering) Community
- Setting up a roadmap to deliver the technological solutions for industrial applications
- Ensuring harmonized ME Principles, best-in-class and up-to-date practices
- Delivering mature solutions to develop new products
- Working in the development of new tool designs as well as new and innovative composite manufacturing processes
- Defining and managing execution of composite technology developments including composite automation and monitoring processes for future CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) parts
- Organization of project progress reviews and generation of associated reporting and action plan
- Management of risks inside the projects
personal requirements:
- The ability to quickly identify and analyze relationships and functionalities
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented work in order to achieve goals on time and coordinate workflows efficiently
- Strong communication skills to work with contacts at all levels
- Willingness to travel: expected once every three months within Europe
education / studies:
- Engineering (at least a Master's or Diploma degree) or
- Aerospace (at least a Master's or Diploma degree) or
- Composites (at least a Master's or Diploma degree) or
- Industrial Engineering (at least a Master's or Diploma degree)
professional experience:
- Design (at least 2 years)
- Manufacturing Engineering (at least 2 years)
- Project Management (at least 1 year)
- Composite Materials (at least 2 years)
IT:
- Catia V5, minimum knowledge of detailed functions
- Google Workspace
knowledge:
- At least good knowledge of risk management
- AI and data analysis skills are an advantage
language skills:
- At least proficient in German
- At least fluent in English
