For our customer in the aerospace industry we are looking for suitable candidates for the location in North-Rhine-Westphalia, Germany starting as soon as possible for the following position:
IT-Service Desk Assistant (f/m/d) in the aviation & space industry Ref. 2019_837
Your responsibilities:
- Setting up, deploying and maintaining hardware such as laptops, tablets, screens, multifunctional devices, desk phones, mobile phones and meeting room equipment
- Preparing user accounts, granting and revoking access rights, creating and removing distribution lists and shared mailboxes
- Ticket handling/remote and on-site first level support on reported incidents
- Introducing the newcomers to the IT environment and accepting leavers hardware
- Supporting video and telephone conferences
- Software installations and configuration
- Project support such as for Softphone, mailbox clean-up exercise, etc.
- Troubleshooting of users issues (HW and software)
- Creating/revising articles for the IT Knowlegdebase
- Handling and maintaining the loan hardware pool
- Follow-up of issues with the 2nd level support
- Roll-out of SurfacePro4
- Roll-out of additional screen if not done yet
- Service Desk tasks when no roll-out tasks are possible (holiday, …)
- Communication support
- Training & coaching support for (new) IT services
Your skills:
- At least 1 year of experience in the above mentioned tasks & responsibilities
- Preferably a completed study in computer science and / or an apprenticeship in an commercial / technical education or a comparable qualification
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft end-user products
- Knowledge or preferably professional experience in using a ticketing system
- Knowledge or preferably professional experience in image deployment
- Knowledge or preferably professional experience in maintaining the running hardware
- Very good technical knowledge of existing computer hardware
- Knowledge or preferably professional experience in restoring data with Veritas DLO
- Good Communication Skills and Teamworking Spirit (intercultural)
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English, preferably also good knowledge of German and/or French
