Your tasks

  • Develop novel image generation algorithms that prioritize fairness and mitigate biases across various demographic groups
  • Investigate and implement techniques from machine learning, computer vision, and fairness-aware AI to ensure equitable representation and treatment in generated images
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate ethical considerations and societal implications into the development process, fostering responsible AI innovation
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, contributing to the advancement of fairness-aware AI and promoting transparency and accountability in AI model development
  • Collaborate in preparing funding applications, supervise theses, and support the professorship's research and teaching endeavors

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field, with a solid understanding of deep learning principles and techniques
  • Experience in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms, particularly in the domains of image generation using diffusion models or computer vision
  • Familiarity with fairness-aware AI concepts and techniques, such as bias mitigation strategies, fairness metrics, and ethical considerations in AI
  • Outstanding programming skills in languages commonly used in AI research (e.g. Python) and proficiency with relevant libraries/frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, with a passion for addressing societal challenges through innovative AI research
