Your tasks
- Develop novel image generation algorithms that prioritize fairness and mitigate biases across various demographic groups
- Investigate and implement techniques from machine learning, computer vision, and fairness-aware AI to ensure equitable representation and treatment in generated images
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate ethical considerations and societal implications into the development process, fostering responsible AI innovation
- Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, contributing to the advancement of fairness-aware AI and promoting transparency and accountability in AI model development
- Collaborate in preparing funding applications, supervise theses, and support the professorship's research and teaching endeavors
Your profile
- Master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field, with a solid understanding of deep learning principles and techniques
- Experience in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms, particularly in the domains of image generation using diffusion models or computer vision
- Familiarity with fairness-aware AI concepts and techniques, such as bias mitigation strategies, fairness metrics, and ethical considerations in AI
- Outstanding programming skills in languages commonly used in AI research (e.g. Python) and proficiency with relevant libraries/frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, with a passion for addressing societal challenges through innovative AI research
