Design Engineer (m/f/d) in Upper Stages Design & Layout Ref. JR-0011658
Your responsibilities:
The department Upper Modules Design & Layout is responsible for the design & layout of fully integrated
propulsion modules of civil launcher systems, including its corresponding subsystems and products. The
activities encompass amongst others the conceptual design, the preliminary and detailed 3D design, the
preparation of the manufacturing and integration documentation, the treatment of design changes as well
as the support of manufacturing and integration activities. The finalization of A6 Upper Liquid Propulsion
Module development and qualification requires additional support for the design and layout team. The
general and detailed design activities for structures, lines, harness and brackets have to be performed.
The work is to be carried out in close coordination with the engineering team such as design and layout,
structure mechanic/dynamic, thermal and stage system engineering in Bremen.
The jobholder (m/f/d) as a Design Engineer (m/f/d) in Upper Modules Design & Layout is responsible
for the following tasks:
CV´s are required in English!
- General and detailed 3D design activities taking into account: Design and manufacturing
requirements and processes. Functional requirements (e.g. segregation rules for the electrical
system, pressure, temperature, max. pressure drop) Mechanical requirements (frequency and
stress) Integration sequence and accessibility
Establishment and update of 3D models and assemblies in Catia V5 / Teamcenter
- Elaboration and update of 2D documentation, ready for manufacturing
- Elaboration of bills of material and release of associated data packages in link with SAP
- Implementation and documentation of changes acc. to configuration management process
- Evaluation and processing of non-conformances with design impact
Personal requirements:
- Good communication skills to ensure the flow of information
- ability to integrate into a team
- high degree of responsibility, ability to work under pressure and organisational skills
studies:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Aerospace Engineering or
- Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Professional experience:
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in design department with good knowledge of design and
development processes, considering manufacturing and industrialization needs
IT:
- MS Office at least detail. Special knowledge
- Catia V5 at least detailed. Specialized knowledge
- First experiences in PLM-T, in particular TeamCenter and SAP would be beneficial
Language Skills:
- Fluency in English or German
- knowledge in French would be beneficial
further qualification:
- Good imagination in 3D. Preferably first experience in 3D annotations for implementation of PMI
(product manufacturing information)
- Ability to work part-time in a “remote” mode due to pandemic situation
